“The Ghost of Mrs. Turnbuckle”
An original story about the ghost who fosters community “spirit” in Towsenton, New Hampshire, and the teenage girl who helps her.
“Captain Cleveland’s Christmas Dinner”
My version of a tale Danish explorer Peter Freuchen related more than once, about an incident that happened at the Repulse Bay trading post in Arctic Canada in December, 1924. This telling was recorded at a Sandwich Singers Holiday concert at the Methodist Meetinghouse, Center Sandwich, New Hampshire, on December 15, 2024.
My personal story “identical,” about a memorable visit with my brother in West Africa, begins at 2:54 and goes to 10:07.
“I love listening to Andy. I have to listen carefully because I never know what he’s going to say next. He’s full of surprises. He’s an amazingly physical teller: subtle, quick, and humorous. One of the best.”
